Clients come to Panasia at different stages. You may have an early product idea, sketches, an existing prototype, technical drawings, a bill of materials, or a product that is already being manufactured.

During the initial consultation, we review the information you already have and identify what still needs to be defined. The goal is to create a shared understanding of the product and the project before detailed development planning begins.

This information is recorded in our Sourcing Request Form (SRF). The SRF serves as the project’s initial reference document and can be updated as requirements are clarified and decisions are made.

What must the product do, and are there specific performance, connectivity, power, battery, software, or interface requirements?

Where will the product be sold, and which safety, environmental, wireless, labeling, or regulatory requirements may apply?

Quality Expectations

What level of reliability, durability, appearance, testing, and inspection does the product require?

Commercial Requirements

What are the target cost, expected order quantities, desired launch schedule, packaging needs, and delivery markets?

How the Initial Consultation Works

1. Share Your Starting Point

Send us the information currently available, including descriptions, sketches, specifications, CAD files, prototypes, reference products, or other relevant materials.

2. Review the Product Together

We discuss the product’s purpose, functions, intended users, operating environment, commercial goals, and any existing technical requirements.

3. Identify Missing Information

Our team identifies unanswered questions, potential constraints, sourcing considerations, and requirements that need further clarification.

4. Confirm the Next Step

Once the initial scope is understood, we determine what information and decisions are needed to move into product description and development planning.

What Stage 01 Establishes

By the end of the initial consultation, the project should have:

A documented product concept and intended use
An initial list of functions and performance requirements
Defined target markets and known compliance considerations
Preliminary quality, cost, volume, and scheduling expectations
A list of missing information, open questions, and required decisions
A clear foundation for the next stage of development

The SRF remains a working document as the project progresses, helping keep Panasia, the client, engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners aligned.
